Update on Hills' Rumors: Teen Vogue Denies Firing Lauren Conrad

Teen Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Amy Astley, who often made cameos on the Hills, denied rumors last Friday at the Ralph Lauren show that interns Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port were terminated. "I thought it was time for them to try something new" Astley told the press at the fashion show. "Internships are a short thing, and I thought it was time for them to move on a little bit" said Astley. Previews for the second half of season 3 of the Hills show Whitney Port considering leaving Teen Vogue, but many viewers are confused about her employment status. Astley's comments refer to Port as an Intern, while episodes at the end of season 2 and beginning of season 3 of the Hills indicate Port as being promoted within Teen Vogue to a full-time position "West Coast Fashion Contributor."

Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port had lunch the same day in West Hollywood.

Audrina Patridge attended the Nicole Khristine jewelry launch party after her recent break up with boyfriend Bernard Steimann. Patridge says she filmed the break up for the Hills' cameras last week. She said it was hard, but she will remain friends with Bernard. They've had the same friends since they were 15.

Audrina also had a run-in with ex- Justin Bobby last week at Les Deux. When asked how that went, Audrina said we'd have to wait and see, meaning it was filmed for the second half of season 3 of the Hills which is said to show on MTV in March or April. Audrina also denied the rumors that Lauren Conrad and her Laguna Beach ex Stephen Colletti are back together. She even denies that he is going to be a part of the new Hills episodes at all, since "he's on One Tree Hill." Has anyone seen him in any episodes lately since One Tree Hill jumped 4 years ahead?
